Catch up

Wednesday, March 5th, 2008

Well lots has been going on recently. Well in Golden Terms, it has. Things don’t move to fast over here but some how i have been really busy. I went getting my fill of cultural goodies over the last week. I went to the golden Broadway musical. It was really fun, with various songs from different musicals being sung. I knew about 1/2 the cast so it made it even more fun. I then went out after and had some fun listening to a beatboxer, then proceeded to go and stay up for 24hrs and chat with some friends watching various clips from Youtube. It was quite the night. I was buggered after though and slept for a full 5 hours! Awesome.

The next night i didnt do much but i did manage to go for a 20-ish km run. I just mapped out out. i didn’t think it was that far. It didnt take me long either. only around 1.5hrs. Im very surprised. Anyhow i’ll link to the map so you can see.

So there it is .

Then on Monday night, i went to the ballet. It was really good. The chicks were hot, the dudes were really strong. And it had a bit of everything. I would go again and plan to as well. It was a production from Ballet Kewlona. It was good fun with the Hudson’s. I wasn’t planing on going but did cause i had nothing else to do.

So that is my summary of weekend, quite fun and exciting.

Great Canadian Death Race

Thursday, January 17th, 2008

So i am hoping to go in this race in the month of August. The name is the Great Canadian Death Race. It is a 125km race over 17,000 feet (5181.6m) of Vertical. Swamps, cliffs, rocky ridges it has it all. Oh boy is it going to be fun. I am hoping to do it in stages, like a relay. If you know of anyone that would like to come on board. Let me know. The places are limited!

More details on the race and the event it’s self go to here.

I heart Regina

Wednesday, January 2nd, 2008

I don’t really, just like saying the name. It is super funny.  It is pronounced like Angina, but with an R instead. Oh the joy of saying it. I giggle every time i say it, or lately have been saying it a lot and have had to resort to just smiling, other wise it takes up to much time. I went out there for Xmas, with Sara. It was a fun time. Did lots in the short time that i was there. We went skating on a pond, which was awesome. I didn’t fall over once, whilst Sara did and she is blaming it on the uneven-ness of the skating surface.  I just blame it on poor bent knee placement.  Played street hockey on Xmas day, which i scored the winning goal. I did also cheat quite a bit by pushing Sara into the snow, on several occasions and picking the little kids up under my arm and still stick handling. It was awesome fun. Have to keep on doing that i think.  We dropped some stuff off at Sara’s parents cabin out near the lake. And took the Toboggan out with us. So it was a real toboggan made of wood, so we had fun going down a little slope. I won the “how far can you travel” race. I almost ran into a wire fence  about 50m away. I had to use my snowboarding skills to turn the toboggan, it was a fun time.  We also went out to Manitoba, just for a quick visit. It was a good time. Sara’s grandma lives out in Langenburg, just on the border. So that is why i went out over the border. I was so close so i just had to! 4 Provinces and still going. Lots of driving but still fun. Well that is pretty much my xmas wrap. Hope that everyone else had a fun time, and was stinking it up in the heat. I was was chilly cold and it was awesome. i was Steaming after playing hockey, that is right i was too hot for the environment! What can i say… it is hard being me (ha!)

Ohh ohh one more thing that freaked me out was the river was steaming, cause it was warmer than the air around it. That is just freaky to see,  steaming river.  Another thing that was weird was the white bunny in the back yard, they actually turn white on there own! I know freaky, brown in summer and white in winter! I saw a waskly wabbit!

Horses are fun

Tuesday, July 31st, 2007

Yes yes they are.  I love to ride them, i seem to get into a set groove and then get out of it. It is weird. Though they are fun to ride. I got to see King Wanker (aka Uncle Greg) again as well, he is well as always. Hopefully i should be back 2 more times this season. Making it a grand total time of 4 for the season. Not bad for me living 6 hours away. Thinking September, for King Wanker’s birthday and end of season, cause that will be one of a killer party. I have a slightly sore back today, but that could be cause of the fact that i was sitting all day and then sleeping funny. Jess is in town for a few days, so we are planning on mountain biking tomorrow. That should be cool, and yeah it is going to be hot. The good thing is though, full body armour. Will tell you when i get back how it went, and if i had any broken stuff….just kidding

One of those Times

Monday, June 25th, 2007

I had one of those the other day. I’m referring to the times when you can see memories being formed. I was riding a bike, with my Mp3 player going. Crusing along, it was a nice sunny day, around 25C. The music was relaxing and fun, then i came to the railwway crossing, could have crossed just infront of the train, but decided to wait and let it go. It was a long train, i got bored and started to go down the track beside the train, the access road. it was speeding along beside me. Whilst i was getting jolted around the place on the bumpy track. it was just a really splendid time. The Mountains, my music, the train, me racing the train, the suny weather. It felt like i was at home, like i could do this forever. Wether or not i can is a different matter which the government will decide. I can see heaps of good memories being made this summer, and it doesn’t even matter where i work. Fun Times ahead!!

Manhunt Perth, Success

Sunday, March 26th, 2006

What a great idea. Basically it is a large game of Hide and seek. Except for Adults. So let me paint the picture for you. 16 adults running around the malls in the perth CBD on a busy sunday afternoon= FUN!

I was a bit nervous turning up, basically cause i didn’t really know anyone. Sure i had met a few of the people one time before. The normal nerves still pop up, so i got myself a drink first to settle the nerves down. It worked a treat (well it worked, not sure about the treat bit). It was then that i wondered over and some of the people recognised me, and they were all pretty friendly. After waiting around for 30mins we decided to pick the “hunter” by a giant game of paper, rock, scissors. If only life was as simple to decide everything by this method. We found a winner, but they were soon dropped for some late comers. It was then that i scampered off and tried to find somewhere nice to hide.

I headed straight for the department store. 5 levels, lots of people, good clothes racks. Sweet spot right? Wrong. It seemed that most people decided to try and hide in there. It was on my way out that i saw a large group of people walking towards me. I forgot to mention we all had green armbands on. So i decided to take the escalators downstairs, only to see the ONLY hunter! I tried to run thru the pots and pans, but i got stabbed in the chest by a pan handle. I’m cursing that handle right now. I was then tagged. 10 mins into the game, i have 50mins to catch other people. Not only 2 mins before i saw the large group of people did i think that i should jump in the lift, away from where everyone might be. Damn me for not following my gut! I basically ended up walking around for the rest of the time. I did manage to “tag” someone though. It was a great. Drama. Suspense. Action. It had it all.

I was walking down the pedestrian mall (hay st) with my arm behind my back, trying to hide the arm band. It was then that i spotted Tash. We had a bit of a tussle with a cosmetic rack in between us. I had somehow managed to trap her in a chemist shop, with an assistant watching us. I did kindly ask for Tash to play nice, and just give up. Alas she is not one to quit that easy. I tried reaching over to tag her. I even asked the shop assistant to hold her whilst i tagged her. Pfft, girls sticking together :P It ended in me giving her an out, onto the mall. Where i managed to track her down in about 20m. It was awesome fun. If you live in Perth or really, any other city. You should give it a go! I bet lots of people got good fun out of people running after each other. Thanks has to go to Dom for organising it though.

Fiona Falkiner= hottie

Monday, March 20th, 2006

OMG, what a hottie. From the minute i saw her in the previews of the biggest loser, i was so going Whoa!, stunner!. ( I also bet that she could win the whole thing, but that im not sure about now, sorry fiona.) So Damn she is hot, those eyes are just…mmmmelting. Sure she was a bit large when she started 101kg (223 pounds) , but meh i know people that have been that size and can still carry it. And no they aren’t guys. Sure it wouldn’t be healthy being that size for ever. But i’m sure it can be worked on, right? Mental voice: “Um Luke, she is on the biggest loser to lose weight you iiidiot!” I always think that appearence isn’t everything. I like to consider myself a sapiosexual. But now she is starting to lose the weight, she is looking hotter and hotter each episode. There are times when i think…”dude (refering to fiona) you are so stupid, why are you crying so freaking much.” Then i remember that she is going thru a hard time, and i can’t be angry at her. Also the fact that i haven’t even met her and probably won’t either makes me come back to reality. But if she happens to do a google search on herself, like the rest of us do (you can all admit it now). Hopefully she will find this and it will work out all good. The end.

Surfing

Saturday, March 11th, 2006

Aching body. Scratched elbows. Skin-less knee’s. Sunburnt. I couldn’t even close the door on the car when i had finished, i was that tired. But boy did i have fun! The day started out at 8.30am on Scarbrough beach, when we finially found the trailer. We found them by looking at all the people in the brightly coloured tops. There just happened to be a huge surf carnival on that day, so plenty of people around. We got suited up in spring suits (the short armed and leg wetsuits) then had to wear a rash vest over the top so that we could be spotted by our “coach” Gabby. She was a nice gal. The it was time to get some basic lessons and take it from there. We did the normal “this is how you get on” on the beach with the pretend paddling and stuff. We were only catching the white wash, but it was still about a foot (around that height anyhow). First few times were a bit of a disaster, and i managed to eat alot of sand, literally and also figuratively. My throat hurts from the amount of sea water that i swallowed. It was still great fun. The boards were quite thick, about 2 inches and wide too, around 1 1/2 foot. Nice and easy to get going on. I think i gave my self whip-lash falling into the water once. I fell forward and landed chest first with no hands in front of me to break the fall. Very sore after that encounter,so i decided to always try and fall backwards. Anyhow, after 4 hrs we were done with the beginners class. I would have been happy to stop there, but my sis (S4) had booked a full day! So we had some lunch (provided) and moved onward to the intermediate classes. I got a smaller board (in thickness). It was still 7′2″ and worked wonderfully. I also learnt on this one how to do “the pop”, i know there is a more technical term, but my mind isnt working right from all the sun and surf! After i had mastered that, i was meant to just be crusing in onto the beach all the time. I didn’t like the sound of that so i decided i would learn how to turn. I finally did it, only managed to turn to my right about 4 times, but it was soo much fun. It was a great day, i then proceeded to go home (to my folks) and sleep for the next 2 hrs, i was exhausted. 8 hours of surfing is hard core! That is my exciting day of surfing, im seriously thinking of going back again… for more lessons. There was also a hot chick that i wouldnt mind seeing again too (If only to be brave enough to ask her name), but that is besides the point… i’m there for the surfing :P

Weight it down

Wednesday, January 11th, 2006

Well i thought you would like to know, after some hard work…lots of junk food and healthy stuff as well. I have managed to finally gain some weight! Yipee!!! :D Mind you it might be all the hard work im doing at the moment with work. Moving lots of mulch, and soil, and pavers and other boring and repetative things. I have gained 3kg (8lbs) of muscle in about 2 months. Now i know that is really nothing to write home about, but seeing that it has taken me ages to actually gain weight and i had trouble last year with losing weight for no reason. The funny thing about it though is that i might have become a bit vein about it all. Each morning i weigh myself, just to make sure that im not losing weight or that it isn’t a dream. Maybe i should hand the scales back to my sister?

Damn Knee’s again

Tuesday, December 27th, 2005

Well i screwed my knee again. Sucks, but i have some bracing this time. I didn’t even go for a run. I was only climbing onto a pergola. Ok i was partly drunk, but still it was really easy to get up there. I was up on top of it in like, 3 moves. Mind you i am 6′4″ tall, and it was a small pergola. Damn knee’s why can’t they just work!
